NTPC Exam Pattern and Syllabus for Diploma Trainee

Written Test Details:
The All India Test is scheduled to be held on 17.11.2013 (Sunday).
The test will be in two parts.
Part-I(Technical)
 Part-I will be Knowledge Test and will consist of 70 multiple-choice questions of respective discipline.

• Circuit Theory/ Digital Electronics

• Open/Closed/Cascade loop control

• PID controlling & tuning

• Pneumatic control

• Basic Data Acquisition Systems

• PLC/DCS/SCADA

• Networking/ computer networks

• Field instrumentation system

• Control valves and on/off valves

• Cabling

• Power Electronics & Drives

• Sensors & Transducers

Part-II(Aptitude Test) 
Part II will consist of 50 multiple-choice questions on English,quantitative aptitude & Reasoning.
1/4th mark will be deducted for each wrong / multiple answered question.
