Antennas and Radiowave Propagation by Robert E. Collin

12:48

Overview
This is a modern,well-written,senior level text incorporating both antennas and wave propagation. Both design and theory principles are stressed, with particular attention to receiving antennas. The objective is to give the communication engineer the ability to predict the performance of a communication link and to appreciate the tradeoffs between antenna gain, receiver noise figure, and transmitter power.

Table of Contents
1 Communication with Radio Waves
2 Fundamentals of Electromagnetic Radiation
3 Antennas, and Antenna Impedance
4 Dipoles, Arrays, and Long-Wire Antennas
5 Aperture-Type Antennas
6 Receiving Antennas
7 Radio-Wave Propagation
